UPDATE 9/6/2023: Nearly two weeks after Bob Barker passed away, his cause of death has been revealed to the public.

 

According to the death certificate obtained by People, Barker passed away in his Hollywood Hills home. His cause of death has been listed “as a result of Alzheimer’s Disease.”

It’s unclear how long Barker lived with Alzheimer’s, but his death certificate indicates that it has been “years.” “Hypertension (high blood pressure), hypothyroidism, and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) were also listed as ‘other significant conditions’ that contributed to Barker’s death,” People reported.

The world is heartbroken after reports shared devastating news about legendary TV host Bob Barker. 

According to several confirmed reports, it has been shared that at 99 years old, Bob Barker has passed away.

While not much is known about his passing at this time, his representatives have shared a statement on August 26.

“19-time Emmy winning, Legendary Television & Game Show Host Bob Barker has died at the age of 99. Roger Neal who served as Barker’s publicist from 1987 thru 1994 & again from 2020 announced today on behalf of Nancy Burnet his longtime friend.”

While commenting on his health, Burnet said, “he’s going to be 99, and he takes one prescription medication and that’s for his thyroid.”

“And his health care or anyone who comes in to see him, they’ll say, ‘Well, we’d like a list of his medications.’ I’ll say, you know, let me just show you the bottle.”
