Country music legend\u00a0Reba McEntire<\/a>\u00a0and actor\u00a0Rex Linn<\/a>\u00a0confirmed their engagement during a red carpet appearance before this year\u2019s Primetime Emmy Awards. The announcement came in an exclusive interview with Zuri Hall, host of\u00a0Live From E!: 2025 Emmys<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Hall referred to Rex as Reba\u2019s fianc\u00e9 during the interview, to which they replied, \u201cWe\u2019re having a blast on\u00a0Happy\u2019s Place<\/em>\u00a0and so glad to be here tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reba & Rex\u2019s Sweet Love Story<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The couple first met in 1991 on the set of\u00a0The Gambler<\/em>. They stayed in touch one filming wrapped but didn\u2019t connect romantically until they reunited on the set of \u201cYoung Sheldon\u201d and began dating in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe instantly bonded over living in Oklahoma and our love for horses and acting,\u201d Reba said of their first meeting. \u201cHe made me laugh, and we became good buddies.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A few years later, Reba shared that she would happily marry Rex if he wanted to.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf that\u2019s something he feels totally strong about, that\u2019s fine with me,\u201d Reba said. \u201cHe\u2019s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I\u2019m OK with that,\u201d she wrote in 2024.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The two now star in NBC\u2019s hit show\u00a0Happy\u2019s Place<\/a><\/em>\u00a0together, and even hinted at their characters getting engaged this next season.<\/p>\n

Reba & Rex Share Their \u201cNontraditional\u201d Wedding Plans<\/h2>\n

The\u00a0Happy\u2019s Place<\/em>\u00a0stars shared aren\u2019t just coasting through the fianc\u00e9 stage, they\u2019re already dropping hints about what their wedding will look like.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll be a lot of fun,\u201d Reba, 70, said in a new interview with E! News. \u201cIt\u2019s gonna be a nontraditional wedding because that\u2019s Rex and me. We like comfort, we love friends, we love food.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rex also shared that the two weren\u2019t rushing into any wedding plans, but enjoying their time together as an engaged couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we\u2019re doing right now honestly is enjoying our engagement time,\u201d Rex explained. \u201cWe haven\u2019t set a date, we\u2019re just going to enjoy our engagement and enjoy going to\u00a0Happy\u2019s Place\u00a0every day.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
