Her body was discovered on <strong>July 2<\/strong> near Anderson Lake County Park in Santa Clara County, just a few miles from the last known location she was seen alive.<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content single-content\">\n<p>Marissa had been reported missing on\u00a0<strong>June 29<\/strong>, after her family lost contact with her following a text on\u00a0<strong>June 28<\/strong>\u00a0stating she\u2019d be staying with a friend. Surveillance footage from\u00a0<strong>June 29<\/strong>\u00a0shows Marissa leaving a residence with Mendoza. Later, Mendoza returned alone, and her car was found parked there.<\/p>\n<p>The body was initially unidentifiable due to advanced decomposition, but the Santa Clara County Coroner confirmed it was Marissa on\u00a0<strong>July 3<\/strong>.
