Sheryl Crow wants to have some fun and is known to soak up the sun, but now she\u2019s done with Elon Musk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The left-leaning country singer, known for hits like \u201cSoak Up The Sun\u201d and \u201cAll I Want to Do\u201d is ditching her electric vehicle, which are popular among some environmentalists, over Tesla owner Musk\u2019s affiliation with\u00a0President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post Friday,\u00a0Crow is shown standing on the street while her car is towed. She waves as the Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman song\u00a0\u201cTime To Say Goodbye\u201d plays in the background.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy parents always said\u2026 you are who you hang out with,\u201d Crow wrote in her caption. \u201cThere comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cMoney donated to @npr, which is under threat by President Musk, in hopes that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The comments are in reference to Musk\u2019s entrance into Washington as President Trump\u2019s second term is underway. Musk says he wants to reshape American government by dramatically reducing the size and scope of federal departments and agencies.<\/p>\n

Musk, the world\u2019s richest man, is currently head of Trump\u2019s newly created\u00a0Department of Government Efficiency,\u00a0or DOGE. Crow has long been critical of Trump,\u00a0suggesting that he \u201cundermines\u201d America in an interview with The Syndey Morning Herald in 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow can someone work every single day to make sure the country is divided? It breaks my heart,\u201d she said at the time, adding that \u201cHe undermines it (America) with his \u2026 I want to say ineptitude but unfortunately it\u2019s deeper than that.\u201d<\/p>\n
