Jimmy Carter<\/a>\u00a0hit a major milestone October 1 when he turned\u00a0100<\/a>, becoming the first American\u00a0president<\/a>\u00a0to live a full century.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amid the celebrations, his grandson reveals the centenarian is \u201cvery limited in what he can do,\u201d and that this \u201cjourney\u201d is \u201cone\u201d he can only experience at \u201cthe very end.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former first lady, also from Plains, died November 19 at age 96. Carter \u2013 who uses a wheelchair for mobility \u2013 is rarely seen but did appear at his late wife\u2019s memorial service.<\/p>\n
