Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell \u2013 the love story<\/h2>\n

Goldie and Kurt first met while filming The Only and Only, Genuine Original Family Band in 1966. Hawn recalled the meeting in an interview with BBC Radio 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was 21 and he was 16,\u201d Hawn said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought he was adorable, but he was much too young. Then, years later we met up again, and I remembered that I liked him very much when I first met him. We both said we would never go out with another actor so it just shows you never can tell.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 1983, Russell and Hawn met again while filming\u00a0Swing Shift.<\/p>\n

This time, the charming and handsome Russell tried to impress Hawn with the pick-up line: \u201cMan, you\u2019ve got a great figure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was severely hungover and I didn\u2019t know Goldie at all outside of having worked with her those many years before,\u201d Russell said in a 2017 interview with\u00a0Conan O\u2019Brien.<\/p>\n

While filming Swing Shift, Kurt and Goldie went out together one night after work. He took her to The Playboy Club, where they spent hours talking.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, they decided to move the\u00a0party\u00a0to a new house which Hawn had bought. The only problem? She didn\u2019t have the keys, which resulted in the two breaking in.<\/p>\n

Goldie Hawn \u2013 children<\/h2>\n

The police later arrived, but it made for an iconic first date. Following that, nothing could split the two lovebirds.<\/p>\n

At the time, Goldie had two children from her marriage with Bill Hudson. Her son Oliver\u00a0was born Sep 7, 1976, and\u00a0daughter\u00a0Kate\u00a0was born Apr 19, 1979.<\/p>\n

Kate and Oliver have their own podcast,\u00a0Sibling Revelry. In one of the episodes,\u00a0Goldie\u2019s children explained the moment that Kurt stole their mother\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n

At the time, Kate recalls being about three years old. Oliver, meanwhile, was six.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the first time he brought him home to the house, wasn\u2019t their first date, but it\u2019s a beautiful story,\u201d Kate said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were living in deep Malibu and\u00a0mum said that was when she fell in love with Kurt, right away, because she bought him back to the house and we were already asleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kate and Oliver shared a room, and Kurt Russell walked in one evening and sat down next to the children.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe sat down next to you [Oliver] first, and watched you sleep. Then came by to me.\u00a0I believe he watched me longest,\u201d Kate said.<\/p>\n

The \u2018ugly\u2019 reason she and Kurt Russell will never get married<\/h2>\n

Kurt and Goldie later welcomed their son, Wyatt Russell, in 1986.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been 37 years, but the super couple are still deeply in love.<\/p>\n

Goldie\u2019s children Oliver and Kate, meanwhile, went on to work in movies themselves.<\/p>\n

Even though they\u2019re both well-known, busy actors in their own right, the family has dinner together quite often since Kate lives just down the street from her mother.<\/p>\n

When Goldie turned 60, Kurt took the entire family to Tahiti, where they spent a lovely vacation together.<\/p>\n

Goldie and Kurt have been together for almost four decades. However, they\u2019ve decided not to get married.<\/p>\n

According to the couple, this is the reason why their\u00a0bond\u00a0is so strong. The kind of love and devotion they have is more than just special. And at the same time, Goldie explains that the key to a healthy relationship is not to spend every single hour together.<\/p>\n

While they remain fully committed to each other, the chances of them walking down the aisle are slim to none.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy should we be? Isn\u2019t that a better question?\u201d Hawn replied to CNN\u2019s Chris Wallace when he asked why the two weren\u2019t married.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it doesn\u2019t work out, it ends up to be big business,\u201d Hawn explained.<\/p>\n

The actress, whose two previous marriages ended in divorce, claimed the end of a marriage is \u201calways ugly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSomebody actually has to take a look and say, \u2018How many divorces actually are fun? How many divorces actually don\u2019t cost money? How many divorces actually make you hate the person more than you did before? How many divorces have hurt children?\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

One could argue, like Wallace, that Hawn and Russell wouldn\u2019t get divorced as they have been together for 40 years, but no one knows for certain. Plus, Hawn likes the idea of waking up every morning and choosing to be in a relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean relationships are hard,\u201d she added. \u201cThey\u2019re not always easy. There\u2019s all kinds of hurdles we go through. There\u2019s things that we believe in, things we don\u2019t believe in, we agree on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I think ultimately staying independent with independent thinking is important, so you can hold on to yourself, and you can actually have that feeling,\u201d<\/p>\n

Grandchildren<\/h2>\n

The last decade sure has been special for the Russell-Hawns.<\/p>\n

Recently, new details about Goldie and Kurt\u2019s wonderful relationship came to light. Body expert Karen Donaldson analyzed pictures of the two of them \u2013 and the results are just as wonderful as you can imagine.<\/p>\n

Very often \u2013 if not always \u2013 Kurt and Goldie can be seen walking in unison. This, according to Donaldson, is a sign that they are on the same level. It\u2019s obvious they can\u2019t get enough of each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoldie and Kurt walk in unison which tells us that they are also in sync with one another on an emotional level,\u201d said Donaldson, adding that their handholding also gives us another insight.<\/p>\n

In fact, she says that Goldie and Kurt\u2019s affection for each other is \u201creally the goal\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou and Pa have been together for so long and sometimes I look at it and I\u2019m like, How do you guys do it?\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m still working on that.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Goldie and Kurt were in quarantine together. Even though she\u2019s a great entertainer, the long days without being able to do anything special were reportedly tough, Goldie revealed in an interview with Good Morning Britain.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re very, very lucky and I\u2019m incredibly grateful, but what I do feel is a tremendous angst, a tremendous sadness,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
