{"id":3736,"date":"2024-09-11T18:43:52","date_gmt":"2024-09-11T18:43:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freshstoryes.lol\/?p=3736"},"modified":"2024-09-11T18:43:52","modified_gmt":"2024-09-11T18:43:52","slug":"sinead-oconnor-acclaimed-dublin-singer-dies-aged-56-writical","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/freshstoryes.lol\/?p=3736","title":{"rendered":"Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Connor, Acclaimed Dublin Singer, Dies Aged 56 \u2022 Writical"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Connor, acclaimed Dublin singer, dies aged 56<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Dublin performer found worldwide fame with hit single Nothing Compares 2 U in 1990<\/p>\n<p>Irish singer Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Connor has died at the age of 56.<\/p>\n<p>The acclaimed Dublin performer released 10 studio albums, while her song Nothing Compares 2 U was named the number one world single in 1990 by the Billboard Music Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Ms O\u2019Connor was presented with the inaugural award for Classic Irish Album at the RT\u00c9 Choice Music Awards earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The singer received a standing ovation as she dedicated the award, for I Do Not Want What I Haven\u2019t Got, to \u201ceach and every member of Ireland\u2019s refugee community\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re very welcome in Ireland. I love you very much and I wish you happiness,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Ms O\u2019Connor is survived by her three children.
