JON It was three days before Bon Jovi turned eighty-three. Her mother, Carol Bongiovi, died.<\/p>\n

After Carol passed away on Tuesday at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, Jon, 62, spoke about her with empathy.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mother was a force to be reckoned with; her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family,\u201d Jon stated to PEOPLE.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe will be sorely missed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fan club for her son\u2019s band was started by Carol, a former Playboy bunny.<\/p>\n

After enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1959, she met John Bongiovi, Sr., the man who would become her husband.<\/p>\n

They moved and raised their kids in Sayreville, New Jersey.<\/p>\n

After that, they moved to Holmdel, NJ, where she resided until her death.<\/p>\n

It was stated that Carol\u2019s private funeral will be managed by Holmdel Funeral Home.<\/p>\n

Her 63-year-old husband and her three children, Jon, Anthony, and Matthew, will miss her.<\/p>\n

As Jon has said before, his parents gave him \u201cincredible support\u201d when he wanted to be a musician when he was little.<\/p>\n

He told The Big Issue in November 2020, \u201cEven if you weren\u2019t good at your craft, you could work on it if you thought you were.\u201d<\/p>\n

As I became older, I understood what a priceless gift my parents had given me.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey truly thought John F. Kennedy was giving them instructions to go to the moon.\u201d \u201cOf course you can travel to the moon.\u201d John, just leave. I went there.<\/p>\n

When he was seventeen, the performer recalled how his parents used to take him to concerts.<\/p>\n

Jon\u2019s parents gave him permission to play at events when he was seventeen, enabling him to follow his dreams.<\/p>\n

Looking back, he said, \u201cIt was amazing that they were always there for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause I might have to leave for home at one or two in the morning and arrive at school at eight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey just told me to follow my dreams, but you know that\u2019s my responsibility, so get to school on time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jon got married to Dorothea Hurley, the girl he fell in love with in high school.<\/p>\n

They have a thirty-one-year-old daughter named Stephanie and three sons, Jesse, Jake, and Romeo, together.<\/p>\n

According to the original story from The Sun, model Jake married Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown in a small, private ceremony in May 2024.<\/p>\n

The little wedding was attended by Millie and Jon\u2019s parents.<\/p>\n

The week before, he told The Sun how excited he was about the wedding.<\/p>\n
