Fox has persevered in his fight against Parkinson\u2019s disease and has lived with its complications for a considerable amount of time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The now-retired actor has devoted himself to promoting research and understanding of the debilitating disease and has become the face of the fight against it since receiving his diagnosis in the early 1990s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6727\" src=\"https:\/\/writical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/376477802_265131333017397_9106835087312962169_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Back to the Future actor has recently opened up about his struggles with the illness, admitting that it is getting worse and saying he does not think he will live to be 80 years old.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/writical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/22.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 61-year-old has always presented a positive image despite being diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s disease, but he has never concealed the negative effects it has had on his health and general wellbeing.Fox discussed his impending death and how having Parkinson\u2019s disease was \u201cgetting tougher\u201d in a recent interview.\u201cI\u2019m not gonna lie. It\u2019s gettin\u2019 hard, it\u2019s gettin\u2019 harder. It\u2019s gettin\u2019 tougher,\u201d Fox told CBS Sunday Morning anchor Jane Pauley.\u201cEvery day it\u2019s tougher. But, but, that\u2019s, that\u2019s the way it is. I mean, you know, who do I see about that?\u201dHe added that he recently had spinal surgery to remove a tumor that was found on his spine. It was nothing serious, but it affected his gait and sent him tumbling.: \u201c[I] broke this arm, and I broke this arm, I broke this elbow. I broke my face. I broke my hand,\u201d Fox told Pauley.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/writical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t die from Parkinson\u2019s. You die with Parkinson\u2019s,\u201d Fox concluded. \u201cI\u2019ve been thinking about the mortality of it. \u2026 I\u2019m not gonna be 80. I\u2019m not gonna be 80.\u201dFox was diagnosed with a brain disorder in 1991 after he noticed a tremor in his pinkie finger. The actor\u2019s battle with the disorder has come to light again in the run-up to the release of his new documentary, Still, which follows his life over the previous three decades.As per reports, he admits in the film: \u201cI\u2019m in intense pain. Each tremor is like a seismic jolt.\u201dHe elaborated on the statement in a new interview he said: \u201cIt\u2019s not so much pain from the movement, but from the not moving. It\u2019s when you freeze, and in that freezing that not-movement becomes infused with all this energy and it becomes this burning, impending thing that never happens.\u201cI don\u2019t want to get the violins out. I\u2019ve broken my hand, my elbow, my humerus, my other humerus, my shoulder, my face and some other s\u2014 too. And all that stuff is amplified by the electricity of the tremors. So, yes, it hurts a lot. But what you learn is that nobody gives a s\u2014. It\u2019s just life. It doesn\u2019t matter. You suck it up and you move on. And there might be a story to tell in it. But only that. There\u2019s no chit that you can present to a window for a refund.\u201d<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/writical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ever determined to remain optimistic despite his obvious struggles, Fox gallantly promised that he\u2019s not \u201cgoing anywhere\u201d.Because to his failing health, the actor announced his retirement in 2021: \u201cThe depression is [not] so deep that I\u2019m going to injure myself \u2026 it always comes back to a place where I go, \u2018Well, there\u2019s more to celebrate in my life than there is to mourn.\u2019 The pain speaks for itself. You either tolerate it or you don\u2019t. And I\u2019m not going anywhere.\u201dI\u2019m not sure about you, but I find inspiration in Michael J.
